Avery to the Bulls?
April 28th, 2008 Posted in Avery JohnsonThis is coming from the rumors section of Insider over on ESPN.com. I think it’s a great idea, mainly because it’d mean he’s not here anymore.
GM John Paxson appears to be in no hurry to make a hire, and there are two, maybe three, candidates who could end up beating Rick Carlisle to the coaching seat.
One is Avery Johnson, whose impending dismissal has been widely forecast if Dallas ends up losing to New Orleans.

How about Avery to the New Orleans high school which he attended. There are hundreds of high school coaches smart enough not to begin a second quarter of the biggest game of the season like Avery did last night. Cuban may as well have dumped a million gallons of ice cold water on the fans. I looked at Cuban in the third quarter and he was laughing and having a large time. I was frowning and cursing. What is wrong with that picture? Have we as Mavs fans beed duped by Cuban? Is it really about nothing more that money to him? that was the most sickening sporting event I have ever attended.

yea i saw that too he was sitting over there giggling with some random guy when his team was doing horrible….i think we have been duped

As I watched him laughing and enjoying the game in the third quarter it really did occur to me after last night’s colossal collapse engineered by Avery that we have all been duped. These multimillionaires (and billionaire) really might not give a damn about winning and losing. what difference does it really make to them?

I was a fly on the wall as I too, noticed Mark giggling and cackling about with his new “boytoy”. It made me sick to my stomach as I saw the mavs withering away on the court, and I didn’t feel much better to see the “boytoy” stroking Mark’s thigh and putting chocolate “bon-bons” in his mouth.I hope I can speak freely. Let me be frank when I tell you that I overheard this “man-candy” say that Mark …(I’m blushing here!) “had a mouth like a hoover” and that he “could put it anywhere he wants”. Well, that will be the last time I work as his “ballboy” again!

If it was all about money, wouldn’t that make Cuban want a win even more. More wins mean more games at home, more tickets sold, more merchandise sold, more concessions, and of course, the better the Mavs do, the more valuable the franchise.
And Dick, is that really necessary. The internet is ripe with porn sites that may be better suited for your taste than a basketball blog, so why waste your time here?

Jessica’s theory is true in the LONG TERM and it’s not even guaranteed…bringing Kidd back meant immediate $$ into Cuban’s pockets and im starting to think all that $$ clouded his judgment jusstt a little
By ihatekidd on Apr 28, 2008 at 10:07:35 pm
and I’m sure they sold a few more tickets and got a little more concession $$ after the trade too

Jessica,
Being a die-hard mavs fan and dedicated ballboy the past couple of years, there is nothing more that I want to see than the mavs blow past the competetion, and get more ammunition for their cannons. It’s just a terrible waste to see them fire up blanks and not be able to put the balls in the hole……
By Felix Jones on Apr 28, 2008 at 10:31:06 pm
Dick,
You are right on. I think the mavs need to quit settling for quick “jumpers”, and really take the time to grind it out in the paint. I don’t think its wrong to bang inside, or to get physical early. Its like avery said. We need more “physicality” and “energy”. Also, there is nothing wrong with a grab or pull, if you can get away with it.

Dick and Felix,
I think you two guys need to be more positive. Dick, if you realy heard that at the game, you should post that on tmz or something.Felix, we need to go get some more physical players who won’t run away when there is a confrontation…..

I don’t think that seeing Cuban laughing and having a good time in the game last night is indicative of his not caring about winning or losing. A winning team makes a lot more money for its owner, period. I don’t think the short term gains in merch or tickets are noticeable for someone with Cuban’s bank ledger.
But it’s his own damn fault that people are speculating about that. He shouldn’t be sitting courtside, in plain view of fans and players. It’s inappropriate, and it’s arrogant.
I hope the angry-mob-style Dallas fans keep talking this up until they’re frothing at the mouth, and drag his sorry ass into the street for a public beating.
YAY!

Avery to Chicago means Carlisle to Big D

Rick Carlisle won’t get any better results.
God himself isn’t creative enough to shine this turd.

Larry Brown is going to Charlotte. So all those rumors he can come to Dallas now can stop.

Jessica:
Cuban is a mega rich guy with an expensive toy. Trust me I was more upset Sunday evening than he was.
By Jessica on Apr 29, 2008 at 1:37:26 pm
I never said he was upset. I was there too. I just said that ultimately, as a business man even, he’d rather have them win.
And Dick, I wasn’t commenting on your commentary content, only on the seemingly unnecessary implications you manged to sneak in.
I think Mark bought this team for the love of the game, but that his judgement is becoming cloudy for the love of fame.

I think he is a rich kid with an expensive toy. If I didn’t love Dirk, I wouldn’t care whether this circus came or went. And it is indeed a circus huh Jessica???
By ihatekidd on Apr 29, 2008 at 5:16:02 pm
it’s a genuine 3 ring circus and Cuban is the ringmaster
