well, just watched highlights of devin harris tonight vs pacers..22 pts 15 assists..looked incredible…i was all four Kidd trade, but now it is painfully obvious that Cuban has blown it…should have made coaching change…Peter Vecsey said that maybe avery should put his jersey on (since avery is the only one who knows what avery wants)… I miss Nellie, love watching his team…i am mav fan since 1st reunion game, season ticket holder since AAC opened…wish we had a do-OVER on kidd trade, and do over on my season ticket renewal..damnit!!

another good point Greg, however, what i have noticed is that when we are playing awful teams, Avery is a little more calm, when we play the contenders, he over-coaches the entire game and that’s a huge reason why we always end up flat.

I think if he just relaxes during the so called BIG games, we would do a lot better

I was watching Avery last night and meant to put this in the main post. When the Mavs built up their 12 point lead in the first Avery was mostly sitting on the bench just letting the team play. He did the same thing when I was at the AAC watching them play the Pacers and paying close attention to him. Once he got up and started over-coaching the team, along with that crazy lineup, is when the lead started to disappear.

You could just hear Avery yelling the whole time over the crowd while the Mavs were on offense. Why can’t he just sit himself down and let Kidd run the show on offense. Kidd is being held back from doing what he can do just like the first time he was in Dallas. If he would have let loose maybe the Mavs score 125 on the Clippers. I don’t understand Avery’s 11 man rotation. He needs to go with his best 8 men and let them gel better. Quit trying to make everyone happy with playing time because most of those players will be gone next year. Damp, Bass, Howard, Stack, Kidd , Terry , Wright and Allen should see playing time. When Dirk is back take Allen out of the mix. The rest of the team should be for garbage time only. And another thought….why is Allen allowed to play Dirk’s game and Dirk is not?

Listen to Bill Simmons podcast with Marc Stein today. They basically rip Avery for the whole first 10 minutes. Even bg media is starting o jump on the bandwagon saying that Avery needs to learn to adapt, which we all know he won’t. Bye bye Avery!

I couldn’t agree with you more Greg. I have been saying the same thing about our lineups, lately, it’s like he feels the need to put the entire bench in more and more.

You would think with Dirk out he would tighten things up a bit, and shorten the rotation, and play his starters more. It’s time to stop messing around with the lineups, and get the startes there minutes, b/c there is no need to rest anyone anymore, it just doesn’t make any sense.

Kidd or Terry should always be in, but both were out in the 2nd quarter. Stack or Howard should always be in, but again, both not in, and you should never have ALL 4 SITTING during the biggest game of the season.

If he continues to make this stupid substution moves, we won’t be able to beat the good teams and with our 2 biggest games coming up next, i hope our startes and Terry play 40 min each or more

I agree i am glad we got a win but its nothing to brag about, the Cippers are not a good team they are plagued with inury. Show me a win against GS, or Denver next i might get a little more excited.
